The Colts have gone International yet again

When the club decides to purchase a new playing strip, there is always the question of what to do with the old strip. We keep a couple of teams worth, as back up and for historical reasons, as well as for the first time sold off some to those who just can't get by without wearing the club colours after the game.

However we have also been able to offload a good amount to worthy causes. Following on from 2009 when we sent a package of shirts to a Mission in Cambodia, one of our long time members, Michael Kleeman, was heading to Ghana post season 2015 to do some volunteer work in an orphanage. He asked if he could take some playing shirts over with him. He was soon jetting off with 3 strips packed away (and hopefully not charged excess baggage). Upon his return Michael said

"The name is Trinity Home Academy, it's an orphanage and school, the school has around 150 students. It's in Tutu, in the Akuapem Hills, Ghana.

The kids absolutely loved them, and the lady who ran the orphanage and school was so grateful. I really can't express how much the school and the kids loved it. The headmaster even said she is going to make up matching shorts!"

Michael also took a few photos and some video of the kids wearing their "new" Mt Colah Colts jerseys. On behalf of the club, thank you Michael, great work.
