Original Junior

Original Junior - Ted (Eddie) Adam 9th September 2006

Hi from one of the original “Juniors” now a 59 year old senior. From memory, The Mt Colah junior Soccer Club was formed in 1957/8 mainly from students at Mt Colah Primary School. We did not win a match that year – but from then on the Under 11 were a force to be reckoned with.

'Colah' Days

‘Colah’ Days … memories of a very special  time - Peter Comerford 28th April 2007

Mt Colah was a small semi rural town just north of Hornsby divided by a railway line and the Pacific Highway. On the Chase side of the town there was a newly opened primary school, a corner store called Colah Cottage and on the highway side there was a roadhouse and near the station a greengrocer, milk bar, a butcher and post office. It was a small population where everyone seemed to know everyone else and you could wander along the streets and roam through the surrounding bushland safely.

Berry Park

Berry Park - Allen Guy 29th June 2007

My first involvement with the Mount Colah Soccer Club was in 1962 when I enrolled my son Ken in the Under 9s and was informed that there was a Soccer Meeting the following Thursday night if I would like to come along. The result was coming home from the meeting with a 9B soccer team to manage and coach in conjunction with Dave Priday.

Achievers

There have been quite a number of talented players flow through the clubs juniors, but only 2 have aspired to and went on to play at a higher level, the first player to take the challenge was Stewart Robertson back in the early 70s when things were a lot different to todays situation.
